The AFDRA annual picnic was a lot of fun and the turnout was great. I want to thank Lucy Sedillo and the Rio Grande Credit Union for their continued support of AFDRA and their contributions that help us put on these social events for our members, and a special thank you to Frank Maestas and his family for all their donations that make our door-prize raffle and silent auctions possible. It was great to see Eddie and Roberta Abeita at the picnic again, so happy that Eddie is on the mends and a big thank you for his help in the raffles. And of course, a huge thank you to the AFDRA Picnic Committee for all that they did to make this picnic a big success; Morris and always Geraldine, Ed and Maxine Chavez, Todd and Marie Bethke, Mike and Jude Padilla, Pablo and Bridgette Garcia, Robert and Julie Sanchez, and Geraldine’s sister from another mother Juana Labelle. See you all next year!
